The public hearings usually take place at the
Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) office in Vancouver between 9:30am and 4:00pm
unless otherwise noted. The public may be excluded from all or part of a hearing
pursuant to section 61(2) of the Teachers Act. If you would like to attend
a hearing, please read the Visitor Protocol for Hearings and make a reservation
using the Visitor Reservation Form available through the hearing schedule below.
Visitors are responsible for checking the TRB's website frequently for updates before
they attend a hearing as dates and times are subject to change without notice. It
is also possible that a citation might resolve by consent, even right up to the
commencement of the hearing, and that the hearing may therefore not proceed. All
updates will be listed on the hearing schedule below.
Citations are issued by the Commissioner for Teacher Regulation and set out allegations
against a certificate holder (or former certificate holder) that will be considered
at a hearing. Please note that allegations in a citation are unproven unless and
until a hearing panel has determined their validity.
All discipline outcomes
and, in the case of a consent resolution, the terms and disposition, will be published
on the TRB site in due course, except in cases where non-publication is required
in order to protect the victim(s).
